How to edit text in a PDF or image

Edit existing text: open your file, choose Edit text and click the line you want to change. The old text is removed and an editable box appears with the same wording, size and colour. Type the new text and change font, size, colour or alignment.

Erase anything: choose Erase and drag a box over text, a number, a stamp or a logo. Auto fills the area to match the surrounding background, or pick a solid colour.

Add new text: choose Add text, click where it should go and type. There are professional fonts, plus Urdu, Arabic and Hindi fonts.

Scanned PDFs and photos: if the file has no selectable text, press Detect text on this page (OCR). The words become clickable just like normal PDF text.

Download: save as PDF (all pages) or export the current page as PNG or JPG. Pages you did not touch stay exactly as they were.

FAQ

Are my files uploaded?
No. Editing happens entirely inside your browser, so your PDF or image never leaves your device. (Only the OCR language data and fonts are downloaded.)

Is the removed text really gone?
Yes. Edited pages are re-drawn as a clean picture, so the old text is not hidden underneath — it is truly removed. The trade-off is that edited pages are no longer selectable text.

Which documents may I edit?
Only files you own or are authorised to modify. Altering identity documents, certificates, financial records or legal documents is prohibited and may be a criminal offence. Please read our Terms of Use.

Is it free?
You can try it free: 2 downloads per day, and the page shows a "mzscan.com" watermark. Edit Premium (Rs 450 per month) removes the watermark and the daily limit.

Why can't I open my PDF?
It may be damaged or password-protected. You will be asked for the password if there is one.
